Eleven months ago, I was honored to be selected by The Jung Center selection committee for a solo exhibition. The time has finally arrived for my show, which will start on April 5, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m.
A dreamscape garden is an imaginative and surreal space that blends nature’s elements with a dream world’s fantastical qualities. It evokes a sense of wonder, mystery, and fluid reality, where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary.
My selection of lumen prints of leaves and flowers seldom represent reality but more closely represent what you might find in your dreams. While you can quickly identify the flowers and trees in many photographs, others will leave you guessing.
The Jung Center has two galleries; my show will be in the side gallery. A talented acrylic artist, Stephanie Gonzalez, will display her works in the main hall. Because Stephanie and I produce works considered by the selection committee to be ethereal, they felt that our exhibitions would complement each other. We hope you think so too.
We look forward to seeing you at our combined reception on April 5th. The Jung Center is located at 5200 Montrose Blvd, in the museum district, across from the Glassell School of Art.

I hope this went well, Melody. 🙂
