I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve been holding my breath for life to get back to normal, whatever that means. The year 2021 has been amazing in all sorts of ways, and across the entire spectrum from terrible to great. Although we’ve made some great strides in fighting the virus, we’re ending another year with concerns about COVID-19.
Starting on January 8, the studios at Sawyer Yards will be open on Second Saturdays from noon to 5:00 pm. The Silver Street Studios will also be open during the same hours on third Saturdays. Although I’ve been fully vaccinated and boosted, I’ll be sporting a mask. For the sake of us all, I’ll respect your personal space while you’re in my studio. I’m at the studio on most afternoons and welcome visitors who prefer limiting their exposure to gatherings. Feel free to contact me to ensure that I’ll be there. You can email me at MelodyLockeArt@gmail.com.
Jane Marczewski, a woman who knows what it’s like to struggle through adversity, once said, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” When I need to get over my bad-self, I think of her, and then I remember just how lucky I am.
May the best years of our lives be ahead of us! I look forward to seeing you in 2022.
