It’s a FOTOFESTival!

Just about every amateur and professional photographer knows that FOTOFEST is in full swing. The exhibitions are on view at Silver Street Studios, Winter Street Studios, and Spring Street Studios, all of which are located in The Houston Arts District at Sawyer Yards. You can also find exhibitions at the Menil Collection, Houston Museum of African American Culture, and The Alta Arts.

When you stop by Sawyer Yards to view one of the FOTOFEST exhibitions, stop by my studio and pick up one of the FOTOFEST Biennial Guides.

If you think that you’ll see everything by visiting these notable venues, think again. There are over one hundred participating spaces. Pixels + Silver, a photography critique group, has an exhibition on the fence around the parking lot at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in the Houston Heights.

One matted 14×11 version of Treeflection II is still available in my studio!

I’m honored to be a part of this exhibition that includes many notable and accomplished photographers from Houston and surrounding areas (and states). Bluestone Lane, a cute little café, is located across the street from the church that hosts the exhibition. They serve a mean little $4 cup of coffee and is a great place to meet before or after viewing the exhibit.

I'm an alternative and traditional photographer living in Houston, Texas. Before stretching my creative wings, I was a content strategist for a software company. During the later part of my tenure there, I learned a lot about the U.S. medical industry when I acted as a patient advocate for my father.
