Houston’s museum district is nothing short of vibrant. During the hot summer, which seems to start in the spring, spending the day exploring all the available venues seems like a cool plan. A great place to start is The Jung Center.
On view now through June 28, The Jung Center is hosting its 25th annual exhibition that showcases their community. According to The Jung Center, “Visions” unveils the diverse artistic talents nurtured within our community of students, members, instructors, volunteers, and staff. The exhibition includes painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography, where emerging artistic voices converge with those beyond the mainstream art world to illuminate paths to meaning and self-discovery.

I’m thrilled to have three of my recent lumen prints in this exhibition. The reception is June 1, from 5-7 PM. Parking can be a little iffy, so I recommend that you do what I do and park at the parking garage at the Glassell School of Art. You can use the signal to safely cross the street from the school to The Jung Center.
Several of my talented friends will also have work there, so it’s sure to be a fun evening. I hope to see you then!
